Connecting in Crisis: COVID-19
Digital Inclusion Information | Helpful Resources | Community Stories | Federal and State Policy News | NC State Response
As we all continue to find unique ways to move our work forward during the unprecedented circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Institute for Emerging Issues acknowledges that health and well-being is the top priority.
We understand the concerns and uncertainty North Carolinians and people across the world may be experiencing right now and we want to do our part to help with the information gathering and sharing. This webpage will showcase some of the great work that is happening across our state and within our communities.
Each Thursday, Leslie Boney, Director of the Institute for Emerging Issues, hosts a series of virtual conversations discussing the impacts of coronavirus (COVID-19) and some of the ways our state is responding. As we begin to reopen the economy, we start a series called Jumpstarting NC. Each week we’ll be talking with those responsible for jumpstarting critical parts of North Carolina.
Special thank you to our current sponsor of the First in Future: Jumpstarting NC series

Digital Inclusion Information
As an extension of our work on the ReCONNECT to Technological Opportunity Emerging Issues Forum and in response to COVID-19, IEI is creating a digital inclusion resource hub. This resource hub will provide the latest digital inclusion news and will highlight resources, promising practices, policy, and community responses to the digital divide in the wake of COVID-19.
