Want to be connected with faith leaders in rural NC?

We are ending the year as the Rural Faith Community team so grateful for our faith leaders that we have partnered with, learned from, and who have taught us this year. Repeating themes in each of our programs and one-on-one conversations are grief and hope. From our bright start earlier this year with our technological opportunity, faith leaders, to the question twisting through the months since March of “how are you, really?” A dark winter has led us to ask… “but, really, really?”

As we move into 2021, our work remains virtual. We want to connect with more faith leaders – not only ask them about their grief and hope but to link them with our incredible partners. You might be the link to faith communities to join us next year.

We will be able to provide complimentary registration to rural faith leaders (thanks to The Duke Endowment) to our 35th Emerging Issues Forum February 15-18, 2021. Our May 2020 RFCAI Conference is being rescheduled for late spring 2021—a virtual gathering of faith leaders figuring out community-congregation relationships a full year into the COVID pandemic.

Are you a faith leader in North Carolina? We’d love for you to join us next year as we tenderly and bravely walk in grief and hope together. Do you know faith leaders in your area doing incredible things? Faith communities that are struggling? Please connect us!

You can register for IEI’s rural faith newsletter by emailing your name and congregation/organization with subject line “Faith Newsletter” to kdfoley@ncsu.edu or subscribe at the bottom of our faith page.
